How to Prepare for a Skin Rejuvenation Consultation

By Terra Beauty Center · 29 April 2026 · 2 min read

Come with clear skin, not a full face

For the assessment portion of your consultation, the practitioner needs to see your skin clearly. If you usually wear foundation or concealer, try to arrive with a clean face or be prepared to remove makeup. This is not mandatory — wear whatever makes you comfortable — but it does allow for a more accurate assessment.

Make a list of your concerns (and your non-negotiables)

The most useful thing you can bring is a short list of what bothers you and what you want to preserve. People often focus entirely on what they dislike and forget to mention what they love about their face — but the practitioner needs both pieces of information to plan well.

Know your medical history

Come prepared to discuss:

  • Any medications you are currently taking
  • Known allergies or sensitivities
  • Any previous skin treatments (in-clinic or at home)
  • Any upcoming events or travel (timing matters for some treatments)

This information stays confidential and helps the practitioner make safe, personalised recommendations.

Manage expectations about the consultation itself

A skin rejuvenation consultation is an information-gathering and planning appointment. The practitioner will assess your skin, explain the options relevant to your concerns, and discuss likely outcomes. They will not pressure you into same-day treatment. You are there to learn, ask questions, and decide at your own pace.

Write down your questions in advance

It is easy to forget questions once you are in the room. Common questions clients find useful to prepare:

  • What is the realistic outcome for my specific concern?
  • How long does recovery or downtime typically take?
  • How often would I need to repeat this treatment to maintain results?
  • What are the risks I should know about?

There is no such thing as a question that is too basic or too detailed.

Skin rejuvenation consultations at Terra Beauty Center are conducted by a registered practitioner. Registration details are available in clinic and on request.
